इन्टरनेट क्या है : Internet जिसको की short मे net भी कहा जाता है अनगिनत एवं आपस मे c

onnected computer network का समूह है जिसकी help से आप एक computer से दूसरे computer पर सभी तरह की information को exchange कर सकते है | सभी computers को internet से connect करने के लिए बहुत सारी organizations एक managed way मे TCP/IP एवं other technologies को use करते हुए servers, switches, routers, fiber cables आदि की help से internet को globally connect करती है | इंटरनेट को कोई एक company own नहीं करती लेकिन world की बहुत सारी organizations आपस मे collaborate करके इसकी proper functioning and development को ensure करती है | High-speed fiber-optic cables इंटरनेट का backbones है and esko world के अलग अलग countries मे telephone companies own करती है ये fiber cables Internet का सबसे बड़ा communication medium है जिस पर world मे internet का data travels करता है |

इस प्रकार इंटरनेट के लिए हम कह सकते है की यह हज़ारो small networks का group है जिसमे बहुत सारे छोटे बड़े private, public, business, education या फिर government network आपस मे wired or wireless medium से connect होकर data exchange करते है |

इंटरनेट हिस्ट्री – 1950 का time था जब electronic computers का development start हुआ था एवं digital communication के बारे मे सोचा जाने लगा था | United States की top universities को लगा की उनके पास कोई ऐसा tool होना चाहिए जिससे की information sharing and accessing मे ज्यादा time न लगे and easy भी हो जिससे की वो research data को time waste किये बिना transfer कर पाए | उन्ही दिनों मे US defense भी digital network and network data system पर research कर रही थी | इसी सोच के साथ US Department of Defense ने Late 1950 मे ARPANET एवं packet network systems के development के लिए US की universities को contact किया और इसके लिए research करने के लिए कहा | Uske baad Early 1960 मे packet switching पर research start हुई एवं late 1960 मे अलग अलग protocol को use करते hue packet switched networks such as the ARPANET, CYCLADES, the Merit Network, NPL network, Tymnet, and Telenet, develop किये गए |

ईसमें ARPANET project मे inter-networking protocols को डेवलप किया गया 

जिसमे बहुत सारे separate networks को single network of networks मे join किया जा सकता था | ARPANET को two network nodes से develop करना start किया गया जो की दो अलग अलग location से connected थी | उसके बाद ARPANET ने 1971 के end तक fifteen sites आपस मे connected करने मे सफलता प्राप्त कर ली थी | यहाँ पर expert को समझ आ चुका था की इस interconnection tool मे कितना potential एवं future है | जब 1981 मे National Science Foundation (NSF) ने Computer Science Network (CSNET) को fund किया तो ARPANET को और ज्यादा एक्सपेंड किया गया और जब 1982 मे Internet Protocol Suite (TCP/IP) standardized अपनाया गया तो फिर worldwide सभी network को आपस मे connect किया जाने लगा | फिर 1984 मे domain name का concept start हुआ तो यह internet की क्रांति की शुरुआत था जो की World Wide Web के existence के बाद आगे बढ़ता गया |
